Trying to make a big impact on a small budget is a challenge.
You may think you have to spend a lot to make a splash, but the truth is, there are plenty of resources you can take advantage of that won’t break the bank.
The first thing you absolutely need to do is put a marketing strategy in place. What’s your goal? What demographic are you trying to connect with? How are you planning to reach those people? Do some research; who’s been successful in marketing their brand? Take some pointers from them; this will give you an idea of where to start.
After you form a plan, social media is the perfect place to implement your new strategy. It’s free to create accounts and trial and error won’t drain your bank account. Facebook lets you boost posts with specific demographics in mind and you can see where your dollars are being spent. Setting up an account on Google Local is also free. Google is one of the top used search engines out there today and registering your business with them will start putting you on the map.
Get involved. The best, and often most economical way, to spread the word about your business is through networking. So start joining clubs and organizations that interest you. It will allow you to meet new people, share your experiences, and build contacts and mentors. Getting out into the community will help more people get to know you and your mission.
Set a budget and spread the wealth, don’t spend your marketing money all in one place. Experiment with what works and what gets you the most return for your investment. Once you figure that out, you’ll have a solid marketing plan that can grow with your business.
